MY ROLE
Illustrator + Brand Designer
How I Came Up with the Style of Illustrations
First of all, the name of the company is Fresco which is a technique of mural painting executed upon freshly-laid lime plaster. Second of all, as illustrations Fresco used famous Renaissance artworks in fresco technique.
I came up with the idea instead of just using Renaissance artworks in the way they are, create a bold, simple, but memorable illustration style with simple black lines and bright colors. These illustrations are fast to create and they attract the attention of the users!
Style Elements

Bold and black lines for the art

Design System for Social Media
In Fresco we have 11 frequently used formats for print and digital ads. Vertical formats: 1:2, 9:16, 2:3. Square & Near-square formats: 4:5, 1:1, 5:4. Horizontal formats: 3:2, 9:16, 2:1, 3:1, 5:1.
For each format, we specified the number of columns to create the layout's grid. The wider, or more horizontal a layout becomes, the more columns it receives. For example, 1:2 Format has 7 columns, 9:16 Format has 8 columns, and 2:3 Format has 9 columns.
Instagram Grid & Post Design System
For Instagram posts, we use 1:1 format and 12 columns + margins on each side. The margin equals the width of one column. We crop margins from each side and as result, we get a working grid for Instagram posts.
We use left-aligned text, center-aligned text, and right-aligned text. In addition, we can play around with text position and place it on the top, on the bottom, or in the center. All these options give us visual diversity and make the Instagram grid non-uniform and interesting visually.
As the second trick to crease visual diversity, I created the grid with the alternation of dark and light posts.
